Glendronach 1971 Single Cask # 1247 / Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon Distilled: 25th February 1971 Bottled: June 2012 Age: 41 Years Old Strength: 47.9% Cask Size & Type: Pedro Ximenez Puncheon Apprearance: Rich mahogany with deep hints of cherry wood. Nose: A crescendo of Demerara sugar and Pedro Ximenez sherry notes, and then drifting into the picture dark chocolate and figs. Glendronach 1978 Single cask # 1068 / Oloroso Sherry Puncheon Distilled: 29th December 1978 Bottled: June 2012 Age: 33 Years Old Strength: 52.9% Cask Size & Type: Oloroso Sherry Puncheon Apprearance: Sparkling and deep, rich, ruby-red mahogany. Nose: An orchestra of spices, raisins and coffee, with undertones of barley cereal. Palate: Initially an explosion of honey, vanilla and Demerara sugar, followed by a cascade of dark chocolate, spices, coffee and raisins.
