Balvenie Craftman's Reserve 15 year old is a limited edition release of only 515 bottles created to celebrate the craftmanship and hard work of Balvenie's team of coopers. Every employee turns around over 20 casks per day!

Distilled in 1996, cask numbers 10142 and 17949. Bottled in 2011 at 59.4% vol exclusively for the warehouse 24 members from the Balvenie Distillery.

A very special release from Balvenie that has been created to celebrate the long history of Balvenie castle, the annual rent of which was fixed at a single red rose in 1460.

A final maturation of sixteen year old Balvenie in a first fill port pipe has produced a rich and fruity single malt with distinctive reddish colour.

This rare single malt whisky was specially selected by Malt Master David C Stewart  from Balvenie's limited ancient reserve stocks. Hand bottled from single cask no. 2705 which had laid undisturbed since 11th March 1978.

Filled 12th February 2009, this single cask bottling is one of a limited edtition of 176 bottles.

Created by combining whiskies from different strengths, ages and finishes, the whiskies selected were chosen by a panel of Global Brand Ambassadors. The panel nosed and tasted three different vintages, 1973, 1974 and 1975 and after careful consideration and long discussion, the panel selected the 1974 vintage.

Only 1,000 bottles of this unique whisky have been produced, with only 50 bottles allocated for the UK.
