This rare single malt whisky was specially selected by Malt Master David C Stewart  from Balvenie's limited ancient reserve stocks. Hand bottled from single cask no. 2705 which had laid undisturbed since 11th March 1978.

Filled 12th February 2009, this single cask bottling is one of a limited edtition of 176 bottles.
