Balvenie Peat Week 14 Year Old - 2002 Vintage

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling

Back in 2001, Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE and former distillery manager Ian Millar conduced some trials, distilling batches of Balvenie spirit using heavily peated malt. For once a year since, Balvenie distillery has dedicated one week each year, named Peat Week to carry on this experiment. Distilled using 100% Highland peat, this 14 year old release is a single vintage bottling from 2002, matured in American oak casks before being bottled at 48.3% vol.
