The second release in the excellent 'The Casks of Lindores II' series, is this delightful single malt whisky (award winning), matured in STR wine barriques from Spain and Portugal. This expression contains older whisky than the first release, so is a great way to follow the journey of whisky produced at Lindores Abbey distillery. Fruity plum jam, caramelized muscovado sugar, Scottish butter tablet notes and cinnamon touches on the nose with sweet plums and dates, ripe apricots with baking spices and roasted chestnuts on the palate. This exciting new expression from Lindores Abbey has been bottled at a very drinkable 49.4% vol.
The Casks of Lindores series was created to showcase the award winning spirit produced at Lindores Abbey Distillery and is a great way to follow and enjoy their single malt grow over the years.

Nose
Very mellow fruity plum jam, caramelized muscovado sugar, Scottish butter tablet notes and cinnamon touches.
Palate
Sweet plums and dates, ripe apricots with baking spices and roasted chestnuts. Notes of apple and cinnamon pie at the back with a very smooth texture and a pleasant finish.
Finish
Medium to long with spices, honey and caramel notes.
