Released as part of an exciting new series from GlenAllachie distillery, Meikle Tòir - 'The Chinquapin One' is a peat Speyside malt, matured in specially selected Chinquapin virgin oak barrels from the Northern Ozark region of Missouri, USA. A peated level of 35PPM with a 160 hour fermentation, a complex yet sweeter style of smoke character comes through on this exciting new Speyside malt. Bottled at a very drinkable 48% vol, natural colour and non-chill filtered.

Aromas of smouldering oak embers, burnt liquorice and honeycomb, with wild heather, ginger, butterscotch and orange peel.
Palate
Dark chocolate, crème brûlée and toasted almonds, leading to cinnamon, brittle toffee, aniseed and lingering campfire smoke.
