Recently Tasted – The Tweeddale Batch 3

The Tweeddale 12 year old Batch 3, a limited edition small batch release created from a blend of 50% malt & 50% grain whisky. The core malt, 14 years old was blended along with various malts aged between 13 - 21 years. The single grain is 18 years old and was matured in sherry casks. Only 300 bottles allocated for the UK. The Tweeddale Batch 3 Tasting Notes Nose: Lemon & ginger with lovely, delicate notes of lemongrass. A combination of crisp granny smith apples (slightly sour but good) along with sweet sherry notes, raisins & smooth hints of vanilla. Palate: Ginger, green apple & lemon zest, sultana, malty notes with hints of white chocolate. Finish: Clean & fresh, nice flavours, subtle spice & vanilla.
