Distilled in 1998 and drawn from two refill barrels, this 27 year old Aldunie (widely recognised as a teaspooned Kininvie), the small and rarely seen distillery located within the Balvenie and Glenfiddich site in Dufftown. Bottled at 52.5% ABV, with only 368 bottles produced, it offers a rare chance to experience the refined, delicate style of Kininvie spirit, matured for nearly three decades in refill oak.
Presented at natural colour and unchillfiltered, with artwork by KMG, this is an elegant and understated Speyside malt bottled with care, as always by the Thompson Bros.

A little fruit medley immediately with pears, gooseberries, melons and a touch of lime. All of the waxed variety. Floral notes follow with a touch of fennel and fresh pencil shavings

Lemon zest and cardamom, followed by green peppercorns and some apricot on the mid-palate. Chamomile and white stone fruits. Water brings out notes of honeydew and blue raspberry.
Finish
A nice ginger spice with lime pickle and herbal teas.
