From the rugged foothills of Fort William comes this stunning 14 Year Old Ben Nevis, bottled by the ever discerning Chorlton Whisky. Matured in a 2nd fill barrel, only 277 bottles have been filled at 53.1% vol. 'Echo of some of those revered 1996 vintages in this one. You can’t go wrong'. High praise indeed.
Tasting Notes
Awards
Nose
The nose has waxy lemons, chalk, buttercups, warm bales of hay, orange boiled sweets and roast pineapple jelly.
Palate
The palate has a lovely texture, with olive oil and soft butteriness cut through with splendid lemons. There are hints then of tropical fruits, spearmint, minerals and camphor.
Finish
A finish all about sweet citrus oils and juices.
