Blended Malt Number One, Batch 1 from 'That Boutique-y Whisky Company' has been mainly produced from spirit entirely distilled at one of Speyside's greatest distilleries. After the spirit was distilled the whisky was 'spooned' which involves adding a smidgen of whisky from another distillery. This is done like this to prevent companies from selling whisky from distilleries as single malt. It also allows companies to sell whisky from a distillery at a much better price, as the name of the distillery is not written on the label itself.
