Glen Grant 63 Year Old - 1959 | Cask 3665 | Mr George Legacy Third Edition
The third release in this magnificent and historic old and rare series from Gordon & MacPhail honouring George Urquhart, second generation of the family that owns Gordon & MacPhail. A true pioneer within the Scotch whisky industry, Mr George started working in the business in 1933 and created the iconic Connoisseurs Choice in 1968. This, the third and final release was laid down by 'Mr George' on 15th October 1959 and left to mature for 63 years in a first fill sherry butt. Cask 3665 was opened and filled to bottle 2nd November 2022, with only 368 bottles filled at 56.5% vol. An incredible series of malts to celebrate 'the father of single malt'.

Fragrant AUTUMNAL SPICE aromas intertwine with sweet DRIED FRUIT and DEMERARA SUGAR. Soft CITRUS ZEST comes to the fore alongside BEESWAX POLISH and WALNUT.
Palate
Stewed RED FRUIT flavours lead to SEVILLE ORANGE with a hint of GARDEN MINT. Tart RASPBERRY notes develop accompanied by COCOA POWDER and MATURE OAK.
Finish
A full finish with lingering CINNAMON and FOREST FRUITS.
