Glenglassaugh 10 Year Old - 2014 | Cask 2369 | Infrequent Flyers Batch 18 (Includes 3cl Sample)
This limited edition 10 year old Glenglassaugh was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 as part of Alistair Walker’s acclaimed Infrequent Flyers series (Batch 18). Drawn from a single Sauternes Hogshead (Cask No. 2369), this bottling captures a captivating union of coastal Highland spirit and the rich, honeyed influence of French dessert wine cask maturation. The result is a beautifully balanced dram, offering notes of ripe stone fruits, golden syrup, citrus peel, and soft oak spice, all underpinned by Glenglassaugh’s distinctive maritime freshness. A shining example of Alistair Walker’s intuitive approach to cask selection, bringing out vibrant, unexpected dimensions in an often overlooked distillery.
3cl sample of this delightful single cask Benriach (Cask 2376) included with each bottle ordered!
Tasting Notes
Awards
Nose
Stewed raisins and sultanas, crushed digestives and toasted oak.
Palate
Viscous, rich and intense, to be expected given the whisky has spent more than half of its life in a Sauternes cask. The bold sweetness of Demerara sugar and soft caramel share top billing with tangy apricot marmalade, allspice and ginger.
