The London Edition 2025 marks the eighth instalment in the highly acclaimed Chichibu series, crafted exclusively for the UK. Produced by Ichiro Akuto at the revered Chichibu Distillery in Saitama. A marriage of hand selected casks, the 2025 edition includes a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks, with the addition of heavily peated spirit contributing subtle depth and smoke. The result is a whisky of remarkable harmony, gentle sweetness and orchard fruit from the bourbon wood, interwoven with dried fruits, spice and elegant peat from the sherry influenced casks.
Founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto, Chichibu has become one of Japan’s most respected distilleries, celebrated for producing whiskies of purity, complexity and unmistakable character. The London Edition 2025 stands proudly within that legacy.
