Distilled in 2018 and bottled exclusively for the UK market, this single cask release from Kilchoman Distillery was drawn from cask #18/238, a STR (shaved, toasted, re-charred) hogshead that was later finished in new French oak. Aged for 7 years and bottled at cask strength (57% ABV), this whisky is presented un-chillfiltered and at natural colour.
The combination of STR and new French oak maturation brings additional layers of sweetness and spice to Kilchoman’s trademark balance of coastal peat smoke, malt richness, and bright citrus character. A limited UK exclusive single cask bottling showcasing the experimental side of this Islay farm distillery.
