Distilled in 2008 and bottled as part of the Dedacent Drams label, this 17 year old Balblair was matured in a first fill bourbon barrel and released at 56.5% ABV with just 172 bottles drawn from the cask. A wonderfully expressive Highland single malt that feels like an old-style Balblair from another era.
Rich, naturally sweet and full of charm, it shows layers of honeyed fruit, vanilla cream soda and gorse, lifted by bright citrus notes of lemon curd and a faint coastal freshness. A beautifully balanced bourbon cask Balblair.
