Distilled in 2012 and bottled at 13 years old, this Deanston is a single cask release from Infrequent Flyers Batch 20. Finished for around 5 years in a Pedro Ximénez puncheon (half puncheon bottling), a cask type known for delivering a more concentrated PX influence. A rich and indulgent Highland malt, with that unmistakable velvety PX texture, bringing notes of Amarena cherries, mocha and macerated raisins, alongside deeper sweetness and warming spice. A well weighted PX finish that adds plenty of depth without losing structure.

Nose
Dark fruits - blueberries and blackberries, with toasted oak and Walnut Whip. Hints of bitter orange.
Palate
Ooft, there's that unmistakable velvety PX texture. Sweet - Amarena cherries, double-mocha, macerated raisins and intense Demerara. Sublime cloves and ginger crash the party to keep you on your toes.
Finish
It all feels very European, somehow.
