Loch Lomond (Inchfad) - 9 Year Old - 2016 | Cask 1811 | Infrequent Flyers Batch 20
Distilled in 2016 and bottled at 9 years old, this Inchfad (peated Loch Lomond) is the 185th release in the Infrequent Flyers series. Finished for over 5 years in a virgin oak barrel, bringing a more assertive wood influence to this peated Highland spirit. Bottled at 58.4% ABV, with 272 bottles drawn from the cask, this is a bold and weighty dram with plenty of presence. On the palate, expect candy floss, crème brûlée and caramelised oak, alongside dried figs, with a lively spice running through, think nutmeg with a proper kick. A feisty, full on release that doesn’t hold back.

Nose
Youthful but intense. A peated variant from Loch Lomond, however the nose leans more towards velvety phenols and sweet iodine, rather than peat smoke. Fantastic presence of Cotton Candy green grapes.
Palate
This is weighty, a really bold dram. Candy floss, crème brûlée, caramelised toasted oak and dried figs. And those spicy nutmeg notes - tinglier than a Wham bar!
Finish
Feisty one, this is.
