Mannochmore 17 Year Old - 2008 | Cask 804804 | Infrequent Flyers Batch 20
Distilled in 2008 and bottled at 17 years old, this Mannochmore is the 181st release in the Infrequent Flyers series. Finished for just over 4 years in a refill ruby port hogshead, adding a measured layer of fruit led character to the spirit. Bottled at 50.4% ABV, with 221 bottles drawn from the cask, this is a single cask Speyside malt with a well judged port influence. On the palate, expect plenty of fruit, with orange bitters, marmalade, apricots and peach cobbler, alongside touches of crème brûlée. A gentle, sweet spice builds briefly before softening, with the cask influence present but nicely controlled.

Nose
Strawberries and cream versus Biscoff biscuits. Anyone for tennis?
Palate
Mannoch - more, more, more! Very fruity - orange bitters, marmalade, apricots and peach cobbler, with ever-welcome crème brûlée. A sweet, peppery spice emerges, briefly, then fades.
Finish
A cracking refill port cask, still influential, but with the foot slightly off the pedal.
