This 9 year old Lochranza (Arran) single malt has been matured entirely in first fill bourbon barrels and bottled at a robust 55% ABV. The cask selection brings a bright, open character to the spirit, allowing Arran’s naturally fresh, coastal style to come through clearly. Sweet bourbon led notes of toffee, citrus and vanilla fudge sit at the core, with a subtle background hint of smoke adding depth rather than dominance. A well judged, high strength release that balances energy with composure and a confident showing from Living Souls.
