A 2009 vintage Ardmore that spent most of its life in a refill barrel, then re-racked and finished for just over two years in a rather tired refill butt. Moving the whisky into a large cask like this allowed for plenty of headspace and air exposure, the result is 'a rich, softly peaty, waxy, distillate-driven style Ardmore'. 226 bottles only, filled at 53% vol.
