Distilled in 1990 and bottled after 35 years, this exceptional GlenAllachie has been selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker from the distillery’s extensive cask inventory. This release brings together four distinctive cask types, Mizunara virgin oak, American virgin oak, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry, creating a layered and carefully balanced single malt. The inclusion of Mizunara oak, sourced from 200 year old Japanese trees, adds an additional dimension alongside the more traditional cask influences. Bottled at cask strength, this is a richly composed and well aged whisky that showcases GlenAllachie’s approach to cask selection and long term maturation.
