Distilled in 1990, this well-aged single malt Glentauchers spent 31 years maturing in a first fill sherry puncheon. Single cask #14520 was cracked open in the winter of 2021, with 505 bottles being filled at an impressive, 53.8% vol. Bottled by independent Scotch whisky bottlers Gordon & MacPhail for the superb Connoisseurs Choice series.

Nose
Rich fruitcake and clementine notes give way to subtle beeswax polish. Dark toffee comes to the fore alongside cinnamon spice and toasted almonds.
Palate
Stewed fruit complements bitter dark chocolate and brazil nut. Sweet liquorice and toasted oak develops. Balanced by cracked black pepper.
Finish
A full and slightly dry finish with forest fruit, clove and orange.
