This delightful single malt Scotch whisky was produced at Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown and has been matured for 8 years in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at cask strength 57.4%, vol with the sherry cask maturation adding blackcurrants, cherries, redcurrants and a maritime coastal taste on the palate.

Nose
Notes of soft peat smoke, leather-bound books and sticky toffee pudding are present on the nose.
Palate
The familiar rich and dirty character of our Kilkerran 8 year old sherry series is clear to taste. We also get thick date syrup, blackcurrants, cherries, redcurrants and a maritime coastal taste.
Finish
As the whisky develops, there are notes of ashy medicinal smoke, ginger and chocolate oranges.
