Gordon & MacPhail have released 2 fantastic single casks from the same distillery, distilled on the same day, matured in the same type of cask then bottled again on the very same day! Single cask #483 was distilled 24th March 2005 and matured in a first fill bourbon barrel for 17 years. Bottled as part of the Connoisseurs Choice series on 18th August 2022, only 186 bottles were filled from cask at natural strength, 56.4% vol.
Tasting Notes
Awards
Nose
Sweet poached pear and passion fruit combine with with faint notes of grass. Honeysuckle notes come to the fore alongside soft lemon sherbet and toasted oak.
Palate
Smooth tropical fruit give way to mixed nuts and dark honey. Subtle desiccated coconut leads to a hint of rose water and white pepper.
Finish
A medium-bodied finish with citrus zest.
