A 1995 vintage Springbank, distilled in Campbeltown and matured in a single hogshead cask for 26 years! Only 219 bottles of this delightful single malt were bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd from cask #135 for The Exceptional Casks series. As you'd expect from BBR, this single cask release has been bottled without any additional colour, without chill-filtration and at natural cask strength, 51.1% vol.

Nose
A gloriously peaty nose refracts into engine oil, camphor, barley sugars, cola cubes, lime zest and smoky wild garlic. Incredible.
Palate
The palate has a pleasingly thick texture and delivers an encyclopaedia of flavour; some boot polish and beeswax, to peat bog and leather, all with lashings of austere fruit.
Finish
A coastal tang echoes on the finish as one’s jaw drops at the sheer strength of character in this dram. All hail Springbank.
