Bottled by Decadent Drinks, this 10 year old Ardnamurchan comes from what's been describe as the second best cask in the distillery’s warehouse (the best, apparently, was strictly off limits). Filled in 2015 with heavily peated Ardnamurchan spirit and matured for a decade in a first fill sherry hogshead, this single cask release was bottled at 55% ABV, following a gentle reduction to let the whisky fully express itself, with just 318 bottles being filled.
Dark, brooding and full of coastal drama, it delivers a rich, smoky depth layered with sherry soaked intensity. Powerful yet composed, it’s a whisky that feels made for wild landscapes, winter evenings and slow, contemplative sipping. A bold, atmospheric Ardnamurchan and a standout example of peated spirit meeting sherry wood at full maturity.
