This Millstone 11 Year Old, distilled in 2014 and bottled by Decadent Drinks, was matured in a 1st fill ex-bodega Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead sourced directly from Zuidam Distillery in the Netherlands. Bottled at natural cask strength, 51.1% ABV, just 320 bottles were produced from this excellent cask. A proper PX sherry hogshead, offering a beautifully balanced and richly flavoured style. Expect layers of dark fruits and gentle sweetness, alongside deeper notes of aged balsamic and polished oak, all held in balance without excessive tannin. A superb example of well judged PX maturation and a particularly satisfying dram for lovers of classic sherried whisky.
