Distilled in 2017 and bottled by Dràm Mòr, this 8 year old Campbeltown single malt comes from cask #3, a refill bourbon barrel, with just 250 bottles produced for the Spring Release collection. A teaspooned whisky, combining Glen Scotia with an addition of Springbank, offering a slightly different take on the Campbeltown style while retaining that unmistakable regional character. Bottled at a robust 57.2% ABV, this is a straightforward, well-defined release from a distillery region that continues to draw plenty of attention.

Nose
Barley sugar or blackstrap molasses, honey with a hint of sea salt and ozone. Something zesty in the background and apple blossom makes for a complex and intriguing nose that draws your deeper into the dram.
Palate
Cool and oily on the tongue with an explosion of nectar, white pepper, coastal vanilla, mixed fruits and almost but not quite frankincense. Not as sweet as the noise would make you believe. More sesame crackers with a drizzle of orange peel.
Finish
Warm and sweet, lingering for a short while before dissipating with a honey warmth, tingling spice and sesame oil.
