Crafted by the independent, family run Lochlea Distillery in Ayrshire, this second and final collaboration with Overtone Brewery brings together whisky making and brewing artistry in perfect balance. A marriage of just five casks, three seasoned with Overtone stout (two ex-bourbon barrels and one STR barrique), alongside a first fill bourbon and an ex-peated bourbon cask. The result is a whisky that beautifully deepens the stout’s rich, chocolatey earthiness while drawing out sweet vanilla and a touch of gentle smoke.
Bottled at 52% ABV, non-chill filtered and with no additional colouring, this limited release captures Lochlea’s signature style with an added layer of depth and warmth, a fitting close to a unique partnership.
