BenRiach batch 1 from 'That Boutique-y Whisky Company', 422 bottles produced, with strength of 48.2% vol. The label on the front of this BenRiach is of some monkey’s turning barley at the BenRiach distillery. Hunchback would be a regular complaint when completing this arduous job, the hunch became known as Monkey Shoulder!
That Boutique-y Whisky Company was formed to bring forgotten drams from some of the world's best distilleries to the whisky-craving masses. Often taken from miniscule parcels of forgotten stock / lost casks, none of the bottles carry an age statement. All labels are hand-illustrated and designed with a nod towards whimsicality, often incorporating whisky industry 'in-jokes'.
