A bit of a hush hush, it's a secret, limited edition release from the chaps at The Compass Box Whisky Distillery. Compass Box The General has been created from two parcels of whisky, each arriving from two secret companies. Each cask of Blended Scotch had been blended at quite young ages, then not required and put back into cask. One parcel was 33 years old and the other was...well, their not telling! Apparently that would violate Scotch Whisky Regulations... Rumour has it that the second blend was as old as 40 years old. Regardless of all the secrets, it looks like another belter from John Glaser.
Compass Box The General is a limited release of 1,698 individually numbered bottles, bottled late 2013.
