Dalmore vintage 1966 cask #7, bottled as part of the Constellation Collection. Aged for 45 years in total, 37 years in an American white oak bourbon cask followed by 7 years in a cask that previously held matusalem oloroso sherry then the final part of the journey was spent in a distillery run bourbon barrel.
What was happening back in 1966... The Beatles play their last concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. The launch of AS-201 marks the first flight of the Saturn IB rocket. Colour television sets become popular!

Colour: Mahogany gold
Nose: Blood oranges, crushed apples and pear followed by Ogen melon, walnuts, Jamaican jerk and cinnamon. Whispers of Bulgarian roses and jasmine coupled with coriander and cocoa powder complete the experience.
Taste: Ripe mandarins, kumquats, black forest fruits and pineapple tease, before a wave of ortaniques, ginger, black treacle and chewy liquorice follow with hints of vanilla, creamy caramel and Swiss chocolate.
