We bottled our very own single cask Glencadam way back in 2013, so when we saw that BBR had bottled a cask for the Spring Release 2023, we got rather excited. Distilled in 2011 and matured for 12 years, initially in a hogshead cask then finished for a final year in ex-sweet wine casks. Not overly popular but don't ignore as Glencadam can be super rewarding, so well worth exploring! Single cask 800216 was bottled in 2023 at 59.7% vol.

Nose
A final year maturing in ex-sweet wine casks has brought out the playful fruitiness of this delightful Glencadam. Apricots, peaches, orange blossom and honey yoghurt all flutter out of the glass, making for a wonderfully refreshing nose.
Palate
The palate is gloriously thick, bringing more bright fruits along with mango syrup, chewy dried pineapple and a hint of drying wood varnish.
Finish
All of this is wrapped up on the lingering palate by further notes of fruit syrup. This is amazingly fresh and floral.
