The second UK exclusive from Glendronach distillery is from single cask 487. A 19 year old single malt whisky which was laid to rest in 1993 in a Oloroso Sherry butt before being bottled in 2012 with only 673 bottles filled.
Abbey Whisky Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Dark bronze, treacle.
Nose: Vanilla knocks the nose, followed by raisins, sultanas, butter and a touch of spice..
Palate: Strong powerful flavours, spice and oak, sweet honey, figs & raisins. A touch of water really softens the flavours down, mellowing it down a little...
Finish: Spicy on the tongue, vanilla, medium length.
