Tasting Notes
GlenDronach 25 Years Old Grandeur - Batch 8 - Producer Tasting Notes
Appearance: Rich red wood flecked with gold.
Nose: A torrent of rich sherry aromas flow over sour plums and dried prunes. A delightful combination of gingerbread and cracked black pepper adds a gentle warmth. Dark chocolate with a touch of marzipan adds contrasting hints of sweetness to the robust, vintage character.
Palate: An opulent, vintage sherry style combining a medley of dark espresso, Meditteranean fruits, rich molasses and hints of herbal bitters. An earthy, aged oak character of air cured tobacco leaves a leathery dryness adding great depth and texture to the palate, contributing to the unique, full bodied Highland style.
