Glenfarclas 25 year old Quarter Cask – A limited edition Glenfarclas whisky that’s been created from 10 of the last quarter casks held at the Speyside distillery, with the youngest whisky being 25 years old.
Quarter casks can hold approximately 125 litres of spirit and due to the size of the cask the whisky matures faster as more of the liquid is in contact with the oak. Called a quarter cask as they contain a quarter of the volume held within a traditional sherry butt (500 litres).
