Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling
This 50 Year Old is one of the most rare and magnificent single malt Scotch whiskies ever bottled.
Bottled in 1991 in a limited edition of just 500 bottles, this whisky came from a batch of nine casks laid down in the 1930s (one cask was laid down for each of William Grant's nine children). One of the bottles set a record in the 1990s when it fetched 99,999,999 lira (about £35,000) at a charity auction in Italy in the 1990s.
Only 500 bottles have been produced, each signed by Alexander Grant Gordon, former Chairman, and great-grandson of the company's founder.
Packaged in a hand-made oak box with brass plaque; both the label and tasting notes personalised with the bottle number and bottling date and the owner of this great bottling is issued with a Certificate and appointed a Freeman of the Glenfiddich Distillery.
