Beautiful deep colour on this 1971 vintage Glenrothes, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of The MacPhail's Collection. Aged for over 40 years in sherry casks, this rare expression, bottled in 2015 has big rich sherry influences as you might expect from a whisky aged for such a length of time in sherry casks.

Glenrothes 1971 - The MacPhail's Collection - Tasting Notes
Rich sherry influences initially with plum and raisin aromas - a hint of beeswax develops. The palate has orange marmalade, ripe banana and apple flavours which combine with a touch of oak.
