Highland Park 18 Year Old - Young Siward Thanes Series Macbeth Act Two
Young Siward is one of twelve noble malts in The Thanes series from Macbeth, with this special single malt from Highland Park chosen to represent this young man. The whisky has been matured for 18 years in refill hogsheads with Oliver Chilton describing in his notes that 'the typical heather smoke and honey of Highland Park is on show in this elegant whisky, but without the robust sherry notes so often associated with its age. Instead, honeysuckle and ginger spice suggest youth and promise'. 650 bottles only of this rare Highland Park, bottled at 50.8% vol.
Character Notes by Dave Broom
The fine-boned youth stands, frame fuzzed by heather pollen. Sword gripped, intent clear. His is a life of potential, of a sweet summer only just beginning. He should not be here, this sacrificial prince.
Released as part of the Macbeth series from Livingstone, that feature illustrations by Sir Quentin Blake and character descriptions for the whiskies by Dave Broom.
