A superb whisky from Campbeltown, Kilkerran 12 Year Old continues to be one of the standout whiskies in its category. Lightly peated and double distilled, it's drawn from single malt matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, delivering both freshness and depth. It remains an excellent example of the distillery’s style, offering genuine quality and consistency at a compelling level.
On the nose there’s a bright, zesty lift, with citrus notes reminiscent of lemon cheesecake, underpinned by the gentle oiliness typical of Campbeltown whisky. With time, subtle peat smoke emerges alongside hints of leather, warming spice and sweet toffee. The finish carries soft embers of peat, rounded out by lingering notes of butterscotch and nutty sweetness.
