Distilled in 2012 and matured for 13 years, this single cask Linkwood was given a rich sherry finish, spending its final 3 years in an Oloroso hogshead. The result is a deeply indulgent dram that perfectly showcases Linkwood’s fruity, floral Speyside character elevated by sherry wood influence. Layers of dark toffee, cocoa and stewed raisins mingle with sweet bakery notes, think strawberry tart, coconut and a touch of Battenberg cake, creating a luxurious, dessert-like profile.
Part of Alistair Walker’s acclaimed Infrequent Flyers series, this limited edition release was bottled at natural cask strength, 55.8% ABV, with only 337 bottles drawn from cask #7117.
