Distilled in 1989 and bottled by Thompson Bros, this 35 year old Speyside blended malt brings together spirit from two neighbouring distilleries owned by William Grant & Sons, a style 'sometimes' referred to as a teaspooned Balvenie. Matured in refill casks and bottled at 51% ABV, it captures the refined, honeyed character a well aged Speyside whisky, with the depth and elegance only time can reveal.
Unchillfiltered and natural in colour, this limited release features artwork by the talented, WhiskyHobo, adding a creative flourish to a beautifully balanced dram.

Nose
Opens with a very enticing round fruitiness, met with a good deal of minerality. The refill wood has allowed the spirit to develop a great depth without overpowering the raw materials, rather transforming them into a beautiful mix of orchard fruit salad, honey and salt.
Palate
The medley of orchard fruits continue on the palate, followed by camphor, white pepper and some honeysuckle.
Finish
Great length, as you would expect from the age, with lots of wax, and a little bit of white pepper, providing that signature Bal*enie bittersweetness to give a great deal of balance.
