A single cask bottling of Springbank, distilled in 2003 and aged in a Port Pipe for 12 years... Enough said.
Tasting Notes
Springbank 12 Year Old / Port Pipe Producer Notes
Nose: Mineral - granite, oily, bees wax and salty. Hints of almonds and banana skins then port - winey notes come through.
Palate: Cloved oranges, orange bitters, roasted coffee beans. Malty with hints of oak.
Finish: Dark chocolate and orange then becoming fairly dry towards the end.
**With water the port influence is more prominent.
