A new single cask release from Springbank distillery, bottled exclusively for the UK market. A fresh sherry cask matured Campbeltown release, aged for 16 years and bottled at cask strength, 54.2%. Only 540 bottles have been filled from cask, looks rather delightful!
Tasting Notes
Springbank 16 Year Old Single Cask - Producer Tasting Notes
Nose: Dark fruits. Prunes, dates, roasted nuts, walnuts and raisins and dunnage warehouse.
Palate: Lots of sherry influence. Fairly nutty as the nose suggests. Barbecue smoke, coastal/salty with traces of spent matches.
Finish: Dry with hints of cinnamon and very moreish!
