This 2014 vintage Tullibardine was filled into cask 11th December 2014 and was fully matured in a red wine barrique for 10 years. Bottled December 2014 by Scotch whisky bottlers, Thompson Bros at 48.5% vol. Lovely label by KMG, giving a little nod to the neighbours of Tullibardine distillery, with both companies located and taking water source from the stunning Ochils. Also happens to be my favourite playground for adventures in the hills.
Tasting Notes
Awards
Nose
Unripe cranberries, Autumn leaves, Crème de cassis, cinnamon, nutmeg, sultanas and raspberry cordial.
Palate
Dry spice with berry compote. Clove studded oranges, grapefruit juice and crushed spearmint.
Finish
Dry and certainly tannic—some lingonberry jam, cloves and cinnamon.
