Japanese Single Malt Whisky
Distillery Bottling
The 2013 Yamazaki Puncheon release, matured in a puncheon barrel which is much larger than a hogshead cask which only hold 230 litres. A puncheon can hold 480 litres! Being so much bigger the whisky matures a lot slower due to less contact with the wood.
Bottled in 2013 at 48% vol.
Yamazaki is Japan's first and oldest distillery, established in 1923 by Suntory's founder Shinjiro Torii.
