Saltire Rare Malt Celebrates Double Win at the 2025 Scottish Whisky Awards

Fife based independent Scotch whisky bottler Saltire Rare Malt has made an immediate impression on the whisky world, claiming two major honours at this year’s Scottish Whisky Awards.

Founded in 2024, Saltire Rare Malt earned Best Newcomer and Best Single Malt Over 13 Years for its Craigellachie 17 Year Old, praised by judges for its depth, balance and traditional Speyside character.

As one of Scotland’s newest independent bottlers, Saltire Rare Malt focuses on small batch, single cask selections with a clear emphasis on quality and transparency. This recognition highlights the growing role of independent bottlers in showcasing Scotland’s regional diversity and craftsmanship. 

The 2025 Scottish Whisky Awards featured a wide range of established names and new entrants, reaffirming the strength and innovation across today’s Scotch whisky landscape.
