The Borders Distillery Gears Up for Single Malt Launch with Ground Breaking Technology

The Borders Distillery in Hawick is taking innovation to new heights ahead of the long awaited release of its first single malt Scotch.

Working with Catalyst ERP, the distillery has implemented Bottle ERP, a cloud based management system that connects every stage of production, from field to glass. The platform provides real-time visibility across cask management, warehouse operations and customer engagement, ensuring each bottle’s provenance can be traced with total confidence.

Founded in 2018, The Borders Distillery was the first to operate in the region since 1837 and has quickly earned a reputation for its forward thinking approach. This latest investment signals its ambition to become a household name in Scotch whisky.

Chief Operating Officer Nathan Cahoon said:

The Borders Distillery’s first single malt will be made exclusively from locally grown barley through the Borders Growers & Distillers programme in partnership with Simpsons Malt, showcasing the quality and creativity of this revived whisky region.
