The Return of Velvet Fig — Wemyss Malts Introduce a 12 Year Old Edition

Wemyss Malts have announced the return of their much loved blended malt, Velvet Fig, now released as a 12 year old expression. This new age statement edition deepens the sherry cask influence and adds extra maturity to the blend’s signature, fruit forward style.

Crafted exclusively from single malts matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, Velvet Fig 12 Year Old exemplifies the Wemyss Malts approach, elegant, flavour led and full of character. Each cask was personally nosed and selected by Isabella Wemyss, whose decades of blending expertise ensure perfect balance and structure throughout the blend.

Extended ageing has intensified the whisky’s natural sweetness and complexity, producing a dram that’s indulgent yet refined. Expect deep notes of ripe fig, dark berries, chocolate and warming spice, all wrapped in a luxuriously smooth, velvety texture.
